In the field of Pokémon genetics, there appear a few subspecies so vastly different that they are often mistaken as a complete new species by even the most qualified of the researchers. The Goblin Jigglypuff is one of those.

When the first specimen of this branch of Jigglypuff family tree, a Wigglytuff, was found, it became a huge sensation on the social network. The Pokémon was initially named "Wobblin" by the internet and caused a mass conquest among trainers to capture a living specimen. It took eleven months until the creature was successfully captured and the genetic research established that "Wobblin" was, in reality, a Jigglypuff variant.

The news was met with mixed responses all over the world. Some people went as far as to actually lead a protest against Alneo Region for publishing that this diabolic creature can even be related to the serene Jigglypuff line, which resulted in a ban on Alnean Jigglypuff in Kanto Region for a short while.

The Goblin Jigglypuff line is cave dweller just like their Fairy relatives. This one fact kept aside, the two branches are exactly opposites. The Fairy Jigglypuff are known for their grace, melodious voice and bold nature. The Goblin Jigglypuff, on the contrary, are vile, speak with a growly voice and are a complete new level of pranksters. While a wild Fairy Jigglypuff is an uncommon occurrence and a male specimen is even rarer, the Goblins live in societies with a majority of males.

Stat-wise, this subspecies of Jigglypuff is heavily biased on physical combat. Though, their endurance and speed is lower than an average Fairy Jigglypuff, the Goblin Jigglypuff make it up with superior Defense and foul tactics.

Don't let the size fool you as they are masters of traps and any area of a cave inhabited by Goblin Jigglypuff is assured to have a large number of snares. So, approach with caution, since a quest to catch one might get you caught instead. And mind you, this subspecies is carnivorous.
