VAMPIRE ZUBAT FAMILY
Species: V. myotis
Subspecies: V. myotis transyl
[Notes: So, I always thought a vampire bat should have been better than a troublemaking purple nuisance that appears on every third step inside Mt. Moon! And hence, here's my idea of a real vampire bat…]
Before Giovanni could even spell the word "crime" properly, there was one man who gave the world an example of what organised crime could achieve if left unchecked. Count Vlad Dracul III, known to the world as Dracula of Team Nocturne, was the first man to ever use the powers of a Pokémon for pure evil, and that's how the Vampire Zubat came into existence.
The Vampire Zubat Family is one of the very few variants in the Pokémon world who are a result of direct human influence. It is said that Dracula used dark wizardry to infuse the Zubat of Alneo with the evil energy, creating the infamous subspecies of Alnean Zubat.
The Vampire Zubat, also called the Bloodwing Zubat, Ghost Zubat, or Vladian Zubat, are one of the most infamous parasitic Pokémon of Alneo. These Zubat feed directly on the life energies of their prey through their fangs. The victims of a Vampire Zubat's bite are known to suffer from amnesia, tiredness, loss of weight with loss of colour pigments in skin. It is said that some cases even show allergy to sunlight and cannibalism, though there are no medical records of such victims yet.
The Vampire Zubat surpasses the Common Blue Zubat in many ways. They have a stronger echolocation, still are usually calm and avoid attacking unless provoked. Their semi-transparent wings provide a camouflage in the dark, making them appear like a skeletal sprites.
What makes this variant a formidable battler is its ability to sap the opponent's life energy with a mere touch. However, most of its strength is due to its balanced stat distribution. On average, all the state of this variant are almost equal, making the Vampire Zubat line a versatile Pokémon to use in battles, that is, if you actually managed to catch one…
The Zubat is definitely my favorite of the three. The way you changed its wings and tail make it look so much more like a real bat.
That, exactly, was my intention with the Zubat.. Real bats look much more sinister and suited with the theme I chose
I used to imagine a flying fox Zubat family with Golbat having a smaller mouth and a tiny nose.
wow i love the desige
!!!!! Neat concept!! The skeleton and red colour add so much to this evolution line! Well designed!
